Policy Compass Workshop in the EGOV 2015 and ePart 2015 Conference!

Policy Compass, along with other Global Systems Science projects, organised a Workshop in the context of the dual EGOV / ePart 2015 conference, titled “Enabling Effective Policy Making – Coupling the Power of the Data with the Wisdom of the Crowd”. The main purpose of the Workshop was to disseminate the project’s platform and up to date results to all participating stakeholders, as well as stimulate discussion on all participating projects.

More than 20 participants with various backgrounds (i.e. researchers, practitioners, policy makers etc.) participated in the workshop, contributing to a live and interesting discussion.

NTUA DSSLab, partners of Policy Compass, gave a presentation (supported by a corresponding workshop paper) titled “Policy Compass project – Open Data Driven Policy Analysis and Impact Evaluation”.

Policy Compass at EGOV / ePart 2014!

The IFIP EGOV conference, together with IFIP ePart, brings together leading researchers and professionals from across the globe and from a number of disciplines.

National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), partner of the Policy Compass project, presented a scientific paper in the context of EGOV / ePart 2014 (entitled “Fusing Open Public Data, Prosperity Indexes, Fuzzy Cognitive Maps and Argumentation Technology for more factual, evidence-based and accountable policy analysis and evaluation”), relevant to the project’s concept and approach.

Participation in the EGOV/EPART 2014 Conference

EGOV ConferenceThe annual international IFIP Electronic Government (EGOV) conference is the European core conference in the domain of ICT in the public sector. Together with IFIP ePart, the sibling conference on electronic participation, and frequently affiliated workshops on emerging topics, the IFIP EGOV 2014 conference, that will take place at Trinity College Dublin, Ireland between the 1st and 4th of September 2014 is expected to attract many participants from various domains of interest.
Taking advantage of this excellent scientific publication and dissemination opportunity, Policy Compass will present a scientific paper entitled “Fusing Open Public Data, Prosperity Indexes, Fuzzy Cognitive Maps and Argumentation Technology for more factual, evidence-based and accountable policy analysis and evaluation”, presenting the overall Policy Compass notion and approach.
Exchange of ideas and knowledge and possible synergies amongst related projects and initiatives will also be sought by NTUA that will be representing the Policy Compass consortium.
